MULTIPLYING,DIVIDING,ADDING, AND SUBTRACTION OF INTEGERS

The lesson today was about integers and Time and Temp, Debits and credits , i was confused on how she showed us on how to do the problems. The man walking forward and backward, i did not get it. Today we had two presentations on fractions they both were good, since i have not done a fraction for a while. This web site help me understand what she was talking about in class .

  1. I agree todays lesson was alittle confusing and hard to understand. I think it is a simple concept but because it is new to us and we have never seen it layed out that way thats why it was harder to grasp.

  2. I think the video of the man walking backwards and forwards was confusing as well. There was something about it that I just couldn't understand and connect with the material we were learning(different operations with integers). It was only until Amy described it with words did I start to comprehend the material. A lot of times visual aids are a great way to learn material, but in this case the visual made me even more confused!

  3. Lisa,
I'm not usually a big rap fan but that video is hilarious!
I agree with Lauren, the learning process can be enhanced for kids through song. Maybe adults too... Maybe the whole class should see the video you posted...

I like the name of your blog, short, yet meaningful. Mine was not so creative.

Agree with you that integers is not the easiest process to understand, think our brains were not designed to understand the relation of negatives and positives at the same time.
The video she showed us actually wasa good way to teach it, after you work on it more you'll see the video makes sense.

Good luck with the rest of your blog!
